CALL FOR RECIPES – The KCBS 25th Anniversary Cookbook
May 20, 2009 To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the KCBS, the board of directors has commissioned a new cookbook. The new book will be a companion to the current very successful KCBS Cookbook – Barbeque…It’s not just for breakfast anymore!Three of the original writers of the current book have signed on to write the new one—Chef Paul Kirk, Carolyn Wells and Ardie Davis. Andrews McMeel, a renowned global media company, will publish the new cookbook.
THE BOOK WON’T BE COMPLETE WITHOUT YOU!
The success of the current cookbook is due to the many KCBS members who donated favorite recipes. Please send in your recipes that you believe will be a hit with readers. We can’t guarantee that all or any of your recipes will be published in the new book, but we guarantee each recipe will be given serious consideration.
Here are the recipe categories:
Starters (Appetizers) Main Dish
Side Dish Salad
Soup or Stew Dry Rub
Marinade Mop
Sauce Beverages & Dips
Breads and Rolls Desserts
Miscellaneous
Original recipes are preferred. If you have adjusted someone else’s recipe—from a book, newspaper, magazine, or online—please include the original creator’s name. We’ll take care of getting permission, if necessary. We reserve the right to make changes in your recipe or information to fit the format of the book or as we deem appropriate.
Please refer to the Recipe Submission Form and Recipe Permission Document located in the Download Section for other important information.
The book will be finalized in June 2009 so time is of the essence! Get busy now. You can contact the cookbook team at kcbscookbook@kcbs.us or call the KCBS office at 800-963-5227 with any questions.
Thanks for your help!
Paul Kirk, Carolyn Wells & Ardie Davis
