House of Q takes home Sam’s Club title in Alabama

Thank you to all the teams, judges, members and supporters that came out and helped to make the Birmingham, Ala. contest and Inaugural Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour a blazing success!

Scoring major bragging rights and KCBS Team of the Year points, House of Q took home Grand Champion and a check for $2,500. DoRagQ was named Reserve Grand Champion, earning $1,000.

Congratulations to the following teams for finishing first in specific categories:

• Chicken – House of Q
• Brisket – Rub Won Out
• Pork – Little Bit of R and R
• Ribs – Late Night Whiskey Smokers

The following teams earned a spot at the Regional Event in Jackson, Tenn. on Oct. 7-8, 2011:

• Warren County Pork Chopper
