November 30, 2011

 

QUICK NOTES

 

KCBS MEMBERS PRESENT:  Ray Lampe, Debby Gage, Bill Gage and Maria Lohman

 

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:  Candy Weaver, Gene Goycochea , Randy Bigler, Wayne Lohman, Tana Shupe, Merl Whitebook, Mike Budai, Mike Lake, Arlie Bragg, Don Harwell, Paul Kirk, Mark Simmons and Executive Director Carolyn Wells.

 

President Candy Weaver called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. 

 

Clarification of board member meeting reimbursement:  Effective start date was November 9, 2011.

 

TOY registry of head cooks:  Tabled from previous board meeting, will be considered again at the December board meeting pending additional information being gathered by Mike Budai at a meeting with the entity preparing the new program.

 

Approval of first three Sam's Club Series contests:  Tabled until the next regular board meeting.

 

Potential Rule 2 violation:  Consensus of the board is that there was no rule violation.

 

International Initiative concerns:  Additional guidelines will be presented at the next board meeting.

 

Proposal from Garry Howard:  Mike Budai made a motion to accept proposal from Gary  Howard.  Seconded by Paul Kirk.   After discussion, Paul Kirk called for a vote. Seconded by Tana Shupe the motion passed.  Vote to accept the proposal was two nays, eight ayes.  Motion passes.

 

Paul Kirk moved to go into closed session, seconded by Randy Bigler.

 

The board voted unanimously to have Carolyn Wells present cash gifts to the office staff.

 

After closed session the following business was transacted:

 

Cease and desist letter to British BBQ Society:  Randy Bigler made a motion for Carolyn Wells to send the cease and desist letter submitted to the board.  Seconded by Paul Kirk, the motion passed unanimously. 

 

At 9:33 p.m., Paul Kirk moved to adjourn.  Seconded by Mike Budai, the motion passed unanimously.
