Palmetto Pitmasters bring the wood at Sam's in N. CharlestonJune 9, 2014
South Carolina was smokin’ hot as the Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour rolled into North Charleston this past weekend. Besting a packed field of competitors, Palmetto Pitmasters showed true mastery of the art of low and slow, and claimed the Grand Championship with an overall score of 685.6684, just barely edging out Reserve Champion Waylon's Wickedly Good Q. Waylon's squad finished with a score of 685.0624. In addition to bragging rights, the teams pocketed $2,000 and $1,500, respectively.
Additional congratulations to the all of the teams who will advance to the Regional event in Richmond, Va. on Aug. 30.
