Templeton Rye Woodfellas flyin' high at Sam's event in Des Moines

Iowa was smokin’ hot as the Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour rolled into Des Moines this past weekend. Besting a packed field of competitors, Templeton Rye Woodfellas showed true mastery of the art of low and slow, and claimed the Grand Championship with an overall score of 692.6400, just barely edging out Reserve Champion, Spitfire. Spitfire finished with a score of 686.2860. In addition to bragging rights, the teams pocketed $2,000 and $1,500, respectively.

Additional congratulations to the all of the teams who will advance to the Regional event in 
Madison, Wisc. on Aug. 2.
