Checkered Flag 500 BBQ heading to BentonvilleSeptember 2, 2014
Virginia was smokin’ hot as the Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour rolled into Richmond this past weekend. Besting a packed field of competitors, Checkered Flag 500 BBQ showed true mastery of the art of low and slow, and claimed the Grand Championship with an overall score of 673.0740.
Trailing closely behind, The BBQ Guru takes home the Reserve Grand Championship. In addition to bragging rights, the teams pocketed $5,000 and $3,500, respectively.
Additional congratulations to the all of the teams who will advance to the National Championship event in Bentonville, Ark. on Sept. 27.
