Hey Good Buddy was begun in 2011 by two best friends, Bryan Able and Homer Elwood. Due to busy professional schedules, family and other obligations the two have only been able to compete in a limited number of contest. However, the pair have experienced early success.
In October 2011 (the teams 1st competition) they placed 10th in barbeque at Squealin on the Square in Laurens, SC. Recently, in August 2012 the team captured 1st in barbeque at the Sooie't Relief BBQ Benefit in Greer, SC. The team hopes to compete more regularly in the coming future and be more competitive in other categories. Other team members have included Joe St. Pierre, Edward Able and Zac Elwood.
