Out of the Blue BBQ, a division of Out of the Blue Entertainment, was started as a family past-time in 2007-2008 and remains to date a successfull Competition BBQ and Catering Team. The Team Consists of my-self (Tim Mapel) my fiance Caitlin Hickmon and my parents Grant & Sherry Mapel. After discovering the fun, pleasure and comradery of the BBQ world, We where off to the shop to construct our first competition and catering rig. Our smoker was built by us. We start with the firebox at 2'x4'x2', atop the firebox is our 1.5'x3' flatgrill (griddle)heated directly form the FB. the FB compartment also features a 1'x2' charcoal/wood open grill. Our main Chamber is approx 3' dia by approx 5' long, includes 3 pull out shelves and one stationary shelf with custom Removable rib-racks giving us the capability of 263 racks in the smoker at one time. We finished our project off by adding on a 5'x4'x1.5' warmer with six shelves, heated by its own sepeparte firebox and capable of doubling as a additional smoker if needed.

So in a nutshell thats it....thats us! We are just looking to have a good time and meet new people doing something we all love.
