Smithfield is continuing their commitment to the world of barbeque for the 2020 competitive season with the Smokin’ With Smithfield Committed Cooks & Grant Programs.
Grant Program
Established in 2017, the Smokin’ With Smithfield Grant program is designed to provide event support for sanctioned barbecue competitions and deepen the prize pool in overall and major meat categories for participating cook teams. Last year alone, Smithfield received more than 200 applications and 33 non-profit and community barbecue events across the country were carefully selected to receive $3,000 each, totaling $99,000 on behalf of the brand.
Committed Cooks Program
Calling all pitmasters! The Smokin’ With Smithfield Committed Cooks Program, created in 2016, rewards teams who cook with Smithfield Fresh Pork products during competitions. To sign up, you must be a member of one of the sport's major sanctioning bodies, pay a small $25 shipping fee and commit to cooking with Smithfield Fresh Pork in the 2020 barbecue season. Just for participating, the Smithfield team will send you Smokin' Swag for your team to put on display and use while competing. Their team has also been known to show up at competition events throughout the year with surprise and delight swag items for the teams as well!
