2023 Board of Directors Retreat Summary

The KCBS Board of Directors annual Retreat was held February 24th and 25th, at the World Headquarters in Kansas City.  All current members of the Board of Directors were present.  Two new members of the board, Charlie Brinza and Randy Todd, were welcomed and provided a two hour orientation session.  The regular meeting of the BOD was called to order by the Chief Executive Officer, Rod Gray, and nominations and elections for officers were immediately conducted.  Following the installation of the new officers, re-elected Board President Stan Dobosenski presented his slate of Committee Chairs.  The Board voted unanimously to accept the proposed Chairs.  The new officers and committee chairs are as follows:

            Joel Fleetwood--Vice President
            Randy Todd--Treasurer
            Charlie Brinza--Secretary

KCBS Committee Chairs:
            Cliff Davis – CBJ Committee
            Joel Fleetwood – Sanctioning Committee
            Nancy Goldsmith – Foundation Committee
            Corey Linton – Rules Committee
            Jeanne Titus – Contest Representative Committee
            Randy Todd – Finance Committee
            Ralph Williams – Nominating Committee

Monthly meetings of the KCBS Board of Directors will be the second Monday of the month at 6:00 PM CST, beginning on March 13. Meetings will no longer be recorded. Strategic plans were discussed at length, and the retreat concluded with a two-hour presentation by board trainer, Luann Feehan of Nonprofit Connect.
