KCBS Rule Reminder: Cooking in Assigned Spaces & Meat Inspection

Teams are reminded that per the 2025 KCBS Official Rules and Regulations, all seasoning and cooking must take place within their assigned cook site. Teams may not share cooking spaces or cookers.  If a new team is formed at an event to meet qualifier requirements, they must:
  • Be assigned a separate cook site.
  • Have their meat inspected before any seasoning or cooking.
  • Use their own cooking devices within their assigned space.
  • Turn in only the product cooked on the equipment in their cook site.
To ensure fairness and integrity, all KCBS rules must be followed.
