2025 Holladay Distillery Cocktail Rules for the 7th Annual KCBS World Invitatoinal

The 2025 Cocktail Rules

•  All teams, Master Series, Open and Backyard Series, entered in the 2025 KCBS World Invitational are eligible to participate in the Cocktail Contest as long as they are 21+.
• There is no entry fee for this contest.
• Entries will be judged on Appearance, Taste, and Execution/Creativity.
• Contestants will be furnished with one 375 ml bottle of Holladay Soft Red Wheat Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon.
• If additional Holladay Soft Red Wheat Bourbon is required for the cocktail, it will be the responsibility of the team to purchase and/or secure it.
• Cocktails must contain the provided Holladay Soft Red Wheat Bourbon as the primary liquor.
• Cocktails may not have more than 5 ingredients plus garnish(s). The sponsor will provide a branded blank index card for you to provide the cocktail name. The card must be submitted at the time of judging.
• Creativity is encouraged.
• Teams will be allowed to use their own cups or glassware for appearance purposes only, excluding the presentation tray. The team must submit two (2) drinks up to 12 oz. each for presentation and one pitcher/pouring container of no more than 20 oz. with cocktail sampling. 
• The presentation tray will not be considered in the judging process. The drink presentation tray MUST be easily carried by one person. 

Teams are encouraged to take a photo of their entry prior to turn-in. Winning teams are requested to share this photo and provide a name and description of their cocktail. We encourage you to tag #KCBSWI @HOLLADAY1856, @kansascitybarbequesociety in the photos.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony.
