The election, conducted online through MemberLeap's secure voting platform, resulted in a tie between two candidates. Joe Osbrink and Joe De Bella each received 497 votes, representing 40.97% of the vote. Andrew Peercy received 219 votes, or 18.05%.
Per KCBS bylaws, which include a provision for resolving tied elections, the KCBS Board of Directors called a Special Meeting on the evening of August 26, 2026, to address the tie. Board President Paul Buob called the meeting to order at 5:05 PM Central, with a quorum of directors present. Board member Blake Moore presented the audited election results and made a motion for the Board to vote to break the tie, which was seconded by Jeanne Titus. In the vote that followed, Joe Osbrink received five votes to Joe De Bella's three, electing Osbrink to the open Board seat. The meeting adjourned at 5:15 PM.

A total of 11,888 members were eligible to vote, with 1,213 members casting ballots — a turnout of approximately 10.2%. MemberLeap, the third-party firm that administered the vote, certified that the online voting system performed correctly throughout the voting period, with no downtime or cybersecurity issues observed, and confirmed the results were accurate after completing its audit process.
Votes were cast by KCBS members across all 50 states and more than 40 countries, reflecting the Society's international membership base.
Joe Osbrink will join the KCBS Board of Directors on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 for the next regular meeting.
